Adult Volunteers
We do not offer a regular volunteer schedule or volunteer hours for adults, and we do not offer reading to children, babies or shelving books as a volunteer opportunity.
We highly encourage any adults interested in volunteering their time to consider joining our Friends of the Library. For more information see the Friends of the Library page.
Teen Volunteers
Please see the Teen Volunteers page for more information.
Donations
For regular book donations, see Gifts & Donations on our Library Policies page.
The Library has received many generous donations over the years. These donations were made by patrons, employees, Friends of the Library, and civic organizations from the community. Their generosity has provided much needed and appreciated materials that have increased the value of the Library to the community.
Examples of items made possible by these donations include the:
– Circulation Desk, which is essential to our service.
– Creativity Room, where children’s crafting events are held.
– Display Cases, used as entertainment and to educate our patrons.
– History Room, which houses items from the town’s past.

For information on how you can donate, please contact the Free Public Library of Hasbrouck Heights Director, Mimi Hui at hui@hasbrouckheights.bccls.org.
