Winter Story time RegistrationStart your winter mornings with stories! Registration starts on Wednesday,  January 2, 2020. Classes begin Tuesday, January 21 and will run for six weeks. Registration is required. Please call (201) 288-0485 or stop by the Children’s Desk.

Tiny Tots– Ages: Birth – 2 1/2 and their caregiver. 

Tuesdays, 10:30-11:15 AM 

Thursdays, 10:30-11:15 AM

Preschool – Ages : 3 ½ to 5

Tuesdays, 1:15-2:00 PM

Book Buddies – Ages: 2 1/2 to 3 1/2

Wednesdays, 10:30-11:15 AM 

Santa Story timesJoin us for a jolly visit from Santa! We will read stories, have time to give Santa your lists and take pictures. We will be having two visits this year, so make sure you register for only ONE of the visits. Wednesday, Dec. 11 at  11:00 am and again at 7:00 pm. All ages event. Registration is required.

Movies at the LibrarySchool’s out for Winter Break, so join us for some afternoon movies! Movies will start at 1:30 pm on Dec. 23 , 26 & 27 for everyone.  Refreshments will be served

Holiday BingoJoin us for a game of Holiday Bingo and win prizes! We will be meeting on Friday, December 13  starting at 3:30 p.m. 

Lego ClubShow off your architectural talents and come create with us. Legos will be provided. Tuesdays, December 3 & 17 starting at 3:30 p.m. for ages 5-12.

Book Clubs for KidsJoin one of our two book clubs for kids!  Books for both groups, along with more information is available at the Children’s Desk.

   Best Books is for students in grades 2-3, and meets on the first Friday of each month

    Critics’ Choice is for students in grades 4-6, and meets on the third Friday of each month.

Movie and Ugly Gingerbread Sweater Decorating Come and make the ugliest, yummiest of gingerbread men with us and watch a seasonal movie! Wearing ugly holiday sweaters is encouraged. For those in 7th grade and up. This event will be on Monday, December 23 at 6:30 p.m.

Teen Advisory BoardMake your voice heard—join the Teen Advisory Board! We meet on the second Thursday of each month. Teens can participate in community service projects, learn about upcoming volunteer opportunities, have a say in teen programming at the library, and make suggestions for books to add to the library’s YA collection. Our next meeting is Thursday, December 12, from 4-5 pm.

 Teen Readers’ Club – We meet on the first Monday of the month to discuss a book, eat snacks and play games. Copies of each month’s book will be available for checkout at the front desk. On Monday, January 6, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. we will discuss Let It Snow by John Green, Maureen Johnson, Lauren Myracle.

Crafts-to-Share Club 
  • Tuesday, November 5 @ 6:30 PM and Wednesday, November 20 @ 1:30 PM
  • Tuesday, December 3 @ 6:30 PM and Wednesday, December 18 @ 1:30 PM

The Crafts-to-Share Club is open to anyone interested in sharing their skills and ideas with a group of like minded crafters. Bring a project.  Beginners are welcome.

The Authors’ Spotlight

Come celebrate our local talent here for our third annual Author’s Day Celebration.  Meet our self-published and independent authors and writers, hear select materials from their work and discover a new collection of books to explore.  This free event is open to our community ages Teen to Adult.  Won’t you join us?
